Apple has released out an iPhone update, iOS 11.2.6. The bug was found last week, allowing anyone to send a simple character to an iPhone to crash the device and lock out access to certain messaging apps.
iOS 11.2.6. All current betas of iOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS also fix the crashing problem. Devices which received the Indian language character in one of the affected messaging apps would crash.
Apple says,“Processing a maliciously crafted string may lead to heap corruption,”
iOS 11.2.6 is available for iPhone 5s or later iPad, or iPod touch.
